RESTORATION FOREST

A total of 2,428 hectares of land have been successfully restored through a comprehensive reforestation and ecological rehabilitation program. The restoration area encompasses a diverse range of landscapes, including upland zones, lowland regions, and peatland ecosystems, each requiring tailored restoration strategies. To match the specific conditions of these varying landscapes, 30 different native tree species were carefully selected and planted. The planting activities involved the participation of over 400 individuals, with approximately 89% of them being local community members, reflecting a strong commitment to community engagement and local empowerment.

The project has achieved a 78% survival rate for the planted vegetation, which is considered a significant success in ecological restoration efforts. Beyond reestablishing plant life, the restoration has also contributed to the return of wildlife, with observations confirming the reappearance of 8 species of mammals, 10 species of insects, and 11 species of birds, helping to restore the area’s biodiversity and ecological balance.

This effort not only rejuvenates degraded land but also revives critical habitats for native flora and fauna, while strengthening community ties to sustainable forest stewardship.
